It’s a chance to get a taste of the science behind Asheville’s thriving culinary scene.
Chef Katie Button joins the Asheville Museum of Science for a collaboration of food and fun at the first ever AMOS Food Science Fundraiser April 16 at 7 pm. Guests will enjoy a cocktail-style reception in the chef’s new private dining room at Cúrate.
Chef Katie, who pursued science degrees at Cornell, and earned her master’s in biomedical engineering, will demonstrate science-minded dishes and drinks inspired by her time working with Chef Ferran Adrià at the world-renowned el Bulli in Spain.
All funds raised from ticket profits and donations will go directly to providing science education in western North Carolina through exhibits, after-school programming, school field trips, community outreach, and summer camps. AMOS served more than 60,000 students and families last year through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics programming.
Tickets for this intimate dining experience are $130 each, and are available online.
